Information we collect
We collect the account information you provide, such as your email address and profile details; the campground, dates, sites, and other preferences in your scans; and technical information needed to operate and secure the service.
If you choose SMS alerts, we also collect your mobile number and a record of your consent, including the date and time you opted in. SMS alerts are optional.
If you make a purchase, Stripe processes your payment information. We receive transaction identifiers, the product purchased, amount, payment status, and related account details. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number.
How we use information
We use information to operate California Camp Watcher, monitor the scans you create, deliver requested campsite alerts, maintain your account, provide support, prevent abuse, and improve reliability. We do not use SMS enrollment to send marketing messages.
Mobile information and SMS consent
We do not share, sell, or otherwise provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent information to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Service providers and legal requirements
We use service providers for hosting, authentication, database operations, monitoring, payment processing, and message delivery. This includes Stripe for payments and Twilio for SMS delivery. They may process information to provide services to us. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Retention and your choices
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You can stop SMS messages at any time by replying STOP. You can also remove the number from a scan. To request access, correction, or deletion of account information, contact us at the address below.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Children and changes to this policy
California Camp Watcher is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
